Instructor: Larissa Distler
An introduction to pictorial needle felting for beginners through slightly more intermediate. In this three-day class, students will learn about the different supplies, needles, and roving needed for needle felting, which is a dry technique - no water is used. By the end of the class students will have a finished felted space scape mounted in an embroidery hoop for hanging and have a set of needles, foam, wooden grip, and leftover roving to keep.
The class will be taught by Larissa Distler, a self-taught felter of nearly twenty years. In the last couple of years, she’s had a lot of fun learning about scientific topics through exploring them with felting.
