Director Chelsea Middendorf is looking for a diverse group of women-identifying individuals (with or
without acting experience) to bring this production back to life in the Tri-State area. Auditions
will be conducted in a group read-through style where everyone will have the opportunity to read
as much or as little as desired. Women as young as 16 are welcome to audition with parent-guardian consent.
The Vagina Monologues, written by V (formerly Eve Ensler), has sparked conversations about women’s bodies
and experiences since 1996. With humor and grace they celebrate women’s sexuality in all its complexities.
The monologues are based on hundreds of interviews with real people of various ages, races and sexualities
and explore a variety of topics such as pleasure and desire, societal shame and violence against women.
To RSVP for one of the audition days or for more information and/or to see a script, please reach out to
Chelsea Middendorf by email or phone chelsea.middendorf@gmail.com // 815.281.1648.
